FIELD: engineering of equipment for measuring density of atmosphere by means of direct and remote probing of it, possible use in aviation and space engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method includes launching aircraft, measuring parameters of its trajectory, determining deviation of these parameters depending on flight time, determining density of atmosphere on basis of deviation values. Also, during flight of aircraft by means of sensor, additionally measured are value of gas density in incoming flow depending on flight time of aircraft, and also angle between axis of sensor and speed vector of aircraft relatively to incoming flow. Then value measured by sensor is corrected by average value of atmospheric density, measured through deviations of trajectory and change of density depending on time is determined. After that, on basis of alternation of density and trajectory depending on time, aerodynamic characteristics of aircraft are determined. Device contains device for measuring density of gas in flow and radio-channel for transmitting data, consisting of receiving and transmitting devices. Device additionally contains memorizing device, orientation device, system for trajectory measurements and computing device.
EFFECT: increased precision of determining density of atmosphere, measuring aerodynamic characteristics of aircraft, expanded functional capabilities.
