FIELD: purification of water-conducting water, producing distilled water, freshening water. SUBSTANCE: method involves heating and evaporating water followed by vapor condensation. Simultaneously with water evaporating an oxidizer, for example an air, is supplied to the vapor released. Prior to condensation the air-and-vapor mixture is heated to a temperature suitable for oxidizing or combustion organic impurities. Device has an evaporator with water inlet duct. A cover is positioned over the water inlet duct and having a heater built in at its inner side. A condenser is coaxially attached to the cover and has the form of cylinders. A spacing is defined between one of the cylinders and the evaporator. An air supply duct is introduced under the cover through the spacing. Water inlet duct is connected to the heat exchanger and outlet duct. The housing of the heater and the condenser walls have radial vents for vapors mixture.
