FIELD: machining of gear wheels. SUBSTANCE: device has base 1 carrying unit 2 for basing controlled cutting head 3 and measurement unit 4 manufactured in the form of case 5 having profile of U-shaped body fixed on holder 6 and installed in carriage 7. Case 5 houses indicators 9-11 intended for check of cutting tool 8. Cutting head 3 is set on basing unit 2 of adjusted device. Measurement unit 4 is lowered to position when measuring tip of indicator 11 comes into interaction with cutting tool 8 of cutting head. Indicator 11 indicates depth of tooth which is measured and carriage is registered in this position. Pointer of indicator 9 or 10 should be set to zero when testing correspondingly inner or outer diameter of cutting tool. In case of other readings on indicators cutting tools 8 of cutting head are moved to required values and registered. EFFECT: expanded measurement range and increased information. 2 dwg
