FIELD: production of carbonic fibrous materials, knitted goods, cords, and electroconducting elements. SUBSTANCE: carbonic twisted thread based on viscose threads is made of 13-18 complex threads, linear density 192 or 380 tex, each thread having 60-120 tw/m, linear density 100-600 tex, specific breaking strength up to 60 gf/tex, loop strength not under 50% of breaking load, breaking elongation 0.8-1.5% , modulus of elasticity not over 5000 kgf/sq. mm, specific conductance 0.0038-0.0078 Om^-1m^-1. Thread is produced by carbonizing viscose tape whose warp contains viscose twisted threads, linear density 760-3420 tex, composed of complex threads, nominal linear density 192 or 380 tex, twisted into at least 4 threads in S and Z directions at 60-200 tw/m. Weft consists of viscose complex threads, linear density 192 and 380 tex. After heat treatment at 2400-2800 C the tapes are finished and separated into threads.
