FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: alloy is designed for production of castings, in particular of automobile wheels. The alloy contains (in % by mass): silicon 7.6-8.4; magnesium 0.2-0.4; copper 1.8-2.8; manganese 0.25-0.45, chromium 0.15-0.30; nickel 0.1-0.7; titan 0.05-0.25; boron 0.0001- 0.03; iron 0.2-0.6; aluminium - the balance, with the ratio of iron to manganese and chromium content of 0.5-0.8. The alloy has the following properties: σδ 305-320 mPa , d 6,4-7,3 % , Brinell hardness 840-870 MPa, hydrogen content 0,24-0,28 sm3/100 g per 100 g of metal.
