FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: noble metals are taken from a group containing platinum, rhodium, palladium and gold. Method involves also additional catching of volatilizing platinoids from a gaseous mixture by sorbent containing, wt. -% : calcium oxide 35-85, and aluminium oxide 15-65. Gaseous mixture loading through sorbent layer is maintained at the range 12000-200000 h.-1. Method ensures to increase degree of platinum and rhodium catching by 1.07-1.08- and 1.1-1.11-times, respectively. EFFECT: enhanced degree of noble metals catching. 2 cl, 2 tbl
