FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: mechanism has multi-valve (three or more) head of a bank of cylinders and two distributing shafts and provides changing duration of open valve phases depending on a speed regime. Control of phases is implemented by rotation of the distributing shafts in opposite directions when speed of rotation increases. As the result opening and closing the valve controlled by one distributing shaft are performed somewhat earlier, and opening and closing the valve controlled by another distributing shaft are performed somewhat later. The similar valves are interacted with the different distributing shafts. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 3 cl, 3 dwg
