FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns quantum electronics and can be applied in manufacturing of CO2 lasers excited by high-frequency field. The laser includes a case and two discharge channels. Each channel consists of a high-frequency electrode divided into three parts, one middle and two side ones. Each side part features outer and inner effective areas joined at an angle. The middle part has two inner effective areas joined at an angle. The two angles are oppositely oriented. The case has cylindrical or partially cylindrical inner shell contacting grounded electrode with segment cross section.
EFFECT: improved performance and reliability of a laser under mechanic and climatic influence.
