FIELD: electrical engineering, physics.
SUBSTANCE: laser has a casing accommodating two discharge channels each formed by a grounded electrode, HF electrode and dielectric components. The HF electrode is a central one made up of three components. Every lateral part has an inner and outer working surfaces converging at the angle of θ. The central part has two inner working surfaces converging at the angle of 2θ. The casing has a cylindrical or a partially cylindrical inner shell. Every discharge channel is formed by two slots arranged opposed on the central electrode lateral part surface.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability, efficient cooling of the discharge channels and higher resistance to mechanical effects.
