FIELD: engines. SUBSTANCE: diesel engine has a gas turbine supercharging system, a liquid cooling system and an air supply control system. The engine has inlet manifold 3 and exhaust manifold 4. The supercharging system has turbocompressor 5 with turbine 6 and compressor 7. Turbine 6 is connected to exhaust manifold 4 by gas manifold 8, and compressor 7 is connected to inlet manifold 3 by air manifold 9. The liquid cooling system has water pump 10, main hydraulic system circuit 11 and additional branch 14 in which air supply system hydraulic turbine 15 is mounted. Hydraulic turbine 15 is connected to compressor 7 through disengageable clutch 17. Diaphragm bypass device 18 has two shutoff members 23 and 24 which are used for switching the cooling liquid flow from main circuit 11 to additional brunch 14 and vice versa.
