FIELD: microbiological industry. SUBSTANCE: method of 6-hydroxynicotinic acid preparing from nicotinic acid involves enzymatic hydroxylation in the presence of microorganism of genus Pseudomonas or Achromobacter, in part, Pseudomonas acidovorans DSM 4746 or Achromobacter xylosoxydans DSM 2783. Under condition of definite concentrations used (from 0 to 10 g/l) at the process of nicotinic acid addition microorganism multiplication is occurred. The end product is prepared by a single stage of process without loss. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis.
