FIELD: microbiology, biotechnology, organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a new microbiological method of producing hydroxy-nitrogen-containing heterocyclic carboxylic acids and their soluble salts of the general formula (I) given in description. Method is based on the corresponding nitrogen-containing heterocyclic carboxylic acids and a new strain of microorganism used in this process. Method provides ecologically pure and nonlaborious producing the indicated compounds. New strain of microorganisms Ki 101 (DSM 6920) is used for metabolism of the corresponding above indicated acids to nitrogen-containing heterocyclic carboxylic acids that contain hydroxyl group.
