FIELD: preparative biochemistry. SUBSTANCE: testicles of cattle animals are defatted with acetone, extracted with acetic acid solution at pH 4.7-4.9 and 18-20 C for 1.5-2 h, precipitate is separated, homogenized with water and salted out with sodium chloride (50-70 g/l). Supernatant is separated, calmodulin is precipitated at pH 4.0-4.3 and purified by dialysis, precipitation by ethyl alcohol and reprecipitation by acetone.
