FIELD: wood-working industry. SUBSTANCE: raw birch veneer with moisture content of 70-130% is dried off up to moisture content of 30-60%. Impregnation of dried off veneer is carried out in solution of fire-proofing compound, e.g., of diammonium phosphate. In so doing, impregnation results in somewhat reduction of impregnating solution. After impregnation of veneer, the solution of fire-proofing compound is raised to working concentration by addition of more concentrated solution or dry salt. Veneer impregnated with fire-proofing compound is dried to moisture content of 8 ∓ 2%. Then, binding agent is applied to veneer odd sheets, and pack is assembled and hot-pressed. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
