FIELD: measurement engineering. SUBSTANCE: auxiliary shaft and propelling shaft, connected by a coupling, are located on a bed-frame of a stand. A driven engine and a reduction gear are also connected by a coupling. Inertial mass is fixed on the auxiliary shaft and the shaft is connected with the reduction gear by an flexible coupling. A strain-measuring dynamometer of axial force and a rotation rate sensor are mounted on the propelling shaft. A cutting tool, made as blades of the propelling shaft, is fixed on the propelling shaft. A truck with tested sample of ice is moving along a railway. A current collector and a sensor of torque are located on the propelling shaft, a sensor of twisting - on the cutting tool, a sensor of bending - on cantilever part of the propelling shaft. The truck movement is caused by winding of a closed loop rope on a drum by a mechanical winch during electric engine rotation and speed of movement is measured by a sensor. EFFECT: stand is used for determination of cutting efforts of propelling shafts of ice-breakers. 2 dwg
