FIELD: experimental hydromechanics and designing of equipment for conducting the hydrodynamic and ice tests of ship models in ice model testing basins. SUBSTANCE: device is provided with two additional rods, two dynamometers, force transmitting plate with cylindrical bush and bearing platform with bead and scale mechanism. Main and additional dynamometers form three-support force measuring system. Dynamometers are linked with towing carriage through rods and frame. Cylindrical bush is located coaxially relative to cylindrical hole in bead of bearing platform. Applied on bead is scale mechanism reticule, index being fitted on cylindrical bush. Each dynamometer is provided with sensors showing the longitudinal, transversal and vertical forces and is made in form of two flexible members interconnected in series. First flexible member is made in form of five-rod flexible member with central rod which is mainly square in cross section; other rods are rectangular in section. Second flexible member is made from rim with spokes and hub. Central rod and spokes are provided with resistance strain gauges. Spokes are made integral with rim and hub. Movable flange of first flexible member is rigidly connected with hub. Outputs of sensors of each dynamometer are connected with input of electronic computer.
