FIELD: traumatology and orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: breaking-off of patella are fixed by lavsan thread leading perosseously in the form of double loop, then Cyuneo-type suture is putted by the same thread in femur quadriceps tendon. The carring out of this operation creates stable compression in zone of fracture which is supported by contraction of own femur quadriceps musculus, immobilization time is reduced for 3-4 weeks, the beginning of functional treatment is accelerated for 2-4 weeks. This assists in complete recovery of function of operated extremity. EFFECT: higher strength of thread, supporting of stable compression in zone of fracture, reduction of immobilization time and acceleration of beginning of functional treatment.
