FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: tendinous extension of the musculus quadriceps femoris is longitudinally dissected on the patellar anterior surface; the bone fragments are extracted. The tendinous extension leaves are sutured together in overlap. The rupture line is additionally fixed by a crossing strip of autofascia with a feeding pedicle connected with its material bed and introduced through the thickness of the tendon of the musculus quadriceps femoris and the patellar ligament. EFFECT: lower complication rate, cut down immobilization time, and earlier functional treatment.
