SUBSTANCE: DC electric drive has electric motors whose field windings and armatures are connected to generator terminals through reverse rectifiers, and switching devices of traction, braking and field weakening duties. First leads of heat engine starter and storage battery are connected through starting contactor, and second leads are directly connected. Electric drive has rectifier, buffer capacitor, bridge-type reverser and contactors. Introduction of new elements enhanced mass- dimensional characteristics of storage batteries.
