FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the vehicles electrical traction systems. Locomotive electric traction drive contains a traction synchronous generator, two stator three-phase windings of which are connected to the rectifier inputs, six identical impulse controllers, six DC traction drives with series excitation, train contactor, reverser, control system, which consists of six control units. In this case, the first and second inputs of the pulse controllers are respectively interconnected and connected to the outputs of the rectifier and the third outputs through the train contactor are connected to the outputs of the armature windings of the traction motors. Inputs of the armature windings are connected in series with the outputs of the excitation windings through the contacts of the reverser. Each pulse controller contains in parallel interconnected voltage sensor, brake key, capacitance, voltage regulator. In addition, a field-weakening regulator is added to each pulse controller, consisting of two series-connected transistors, to the connection point of which an input of an additional current sensor is connected.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention consists in implementing a field weakening mode without using mechanical contactors and field weakening resistors.
