FIELD: medicine, particular, infantile surgery. SUBSTANCE: this method prescribes making maximum radical excision of affected side nail wall, operating patient under general anesthesia starting from distal portion of foot finger at right angles to finger in such manner that nail matrix projection and direction of movement of scalpel will make up angle of 80 to 90 deg, incising and removing side nail wall together with granular vegetations in area of sound skin and subcutaneous fat to nail plate length and partially excising other sound side nail wall by one fourth to one third of ingrown nail wall. In case of double-sided ingrown foot nail, both side nail walls should be radically excised to nail plate length. EFFECT: higher cosmetic effect and prevention of relapses.
