FIELD: oil processing. SUBSTANCE: heavy crude oil is oxygenated at a flow O2 rate of 1-4 l/kg/min and a weight ratio between O2 and an oxidizable crude oil of ( 0.116- 0.468):1 followed by vacuum distillation of the oxygenated oil. The resulting heavy condensed products are removed from the rectification column. The oxygenated oil distillate is added to the nonoxidized heavy crude oil, and the resulting mixture is subjected to catalytic cracking. EFFECT: increased refining efficiency. 2 cl, 12 tbl
