FIELD: petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparation of petroleum-origin binding materials used in manufacture of anodic pastes, electrodes, refractory materials, coal briquettes, and so on. Initial raw material is heated to 360- 380 C and fed into evaporation section of atmospheric fractionator, into which part of thermopolycondensation products is also transferred from the bottom of reactor in amounts 40 to 100% of the weight of initial raw material. Mixture withdrawn from the bottom of atmospheric fractionator is fed into top section of reactor. EFFECT: reduced coking of furnace pipes and final product. 1 dwg, 1 tbl, 4 ex
