FIELD: mechanical engineering; apparatuses for dissolving air oxygen in water. SUBSTANCE: aerator incorporates two coaxial hollow shafts lower ends of which are connected to oppositely revolving rotors, birotatory driving electric motor having stator and rotor with shaft and disposed coaxially above hollow shafts, and air supply unit. Aerator has casing which houses outer hollow shaft held by bearings. Air supply unit is inward-flow compressor that incorporates inner and outer oppositely revolving working wheels. Inner working wheel includes two coaxial and spaced discs having concentric row of cantilevered blades that face each other. Discs are rigidly interconnected by means of first inner row of blades common to both discs one of which is connected to electric motor shaft and other one having central opening is connected to upper end of inner hollow shaft. Outer working wheel is shaped as intermediate disc sandwiched in between discs of inner working wheel and having on its both sides concentric rows of cantilevered blades positioned between rows of blades belonging to inner working wheel. Intermediate disc and connecting disc having central opening and secured to upper end of outer hollow shaft are connected to electric motor stator by virtue of first outer row of blades of intermediate disc.
