FIELD: casting. SUBSTANCE: manufacture of shaped castings of complicated spatial configuration includes supply of molten metal onto cooling base by successive discrete portions controlled in volume and shape with simultaneous control of geometry of casting body and its continuity with regulation of casting structure. Plant for realization of the method consists of melt vessel with charging device and mold connected to melt vessel, melt cooling base, device for moving mold relative to base as well as devices for regulation and monitoring of temperature in melt vessel, mold and on base and appliance for monitoring position of mold and base. Plant is provided with air-tight chamber for carrying out the process in vacuum, neutral or special atmosphere.
