FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: on applying an aluminium coating to the core, the mould is assembled and cast iron is poured thereinto. The composition of the coating in per cent by mass is as follows: aluminium powder, 68-75; cryolite, 1.5-2.5; sodium chloride, 8.5-12.0; refractory clay, 12-21; inhibitor, 0.02-0.03. The coating density is 1,40-1,50 g/cm3, and the consumption of the coating is 800-1200 g/m2. EFFECT: improved quality of casting. 1 cl, 1 tbl
