FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: proposed strain of human rhotavirus - a producer of high-active specific animal serum (for diagnosis) and lactoserum of cows (for prophylaxis of rhotaviral infection). Strain of human rhotavirus 568 is deposited in State Virus Collection of Virology Institute at number GKV 2288. Proposed strain is isolated from sick child with acute gastroenteritis. Strain shows high reproductive activity with development of ЦПД and complete cell destruction after 18-48 h and high immunogenic properties. Strain is stable at laboratory conditions at cultivation at the level of 15 passages. Strain used for immunization of animal (guinea pig, rabbit, cow) can be used for preparing of high-active specific sera. EFFECT: improved method of sera preparing.
