FIELD: medicinal biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: invention proposes strain-producer "Orlov-B", GKV N 2326, for preparing vaccine against measles. Cultural-morphological traits: homogeneous spherical particles, diameter is 50-70 nm, buoyant density in sucrose gradient is 1.18-1.20 g/cm3. Strain reproduces with cytodestructive effect development up to titer 4-6 lg TCD50/0.5 ml in human and animal tissue cultures. At roller and suspension culturing in cells BHK-21 the yield of viral biomass is 7-8 lg TCD50/0.5 ml. Physiological-biochemical traits: optimum at pH = 7.4, inactivated at 56 C for 30 min, shows sensitivity to ether and acetone. Antigenic properties: hemagglutinating activity in vitro is 2-8 ГАЕ, strain agglutinates dove, one-day old chicken red cells and human erythrocytes at blood group 0. Immunogenic properties: specific antibodies were formed at control in rabbit and guinea pig in 100% and show the reverse antibody titer in РТГА from 640-2560 to 1280-10240, respectively. Virulent properties: strain does not show virulent and contagious properties. Toxicity: strain does not show toxicity after administration to guinea pigs and mice at dose 1000 TCD50/0.5 ml (one vaccination dose for human). EFFECT: improved properties of strain indicated above. 3 tbl
