FIELD: medicine, virology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates a method of preparing vaccine and diagnostic rubella virus preparations. Method involves infection of diploid cellular culture with rubella virus followed by virus culturing in supporting medium. Human embryo lung fibroblasts HELF 385/13 are used as a diploid cellular culture (Base Branch of Russian cells collection in NII influenza, RAMS, RKK(DP)004). Supporting nutrient medium has medium-199, Eagle medium with double content of amino acids. By the first variant medium has additionally aminopeptide and calcium chloride and by the second variant - arginine and calcium chloride. Invention enhances biological activity of rubella virus preparations and provides sufficient purity of the end product due to allergic factor elimination.
