FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: device for hardening of articles has hardening tank with bell in it. Hardening tank is connected with generator of vertical oscillations and has air supply hose connected to hole in tank bottom. Bell is made in form of bellows 3 located on bottom of hardening tank concentrically to hole 8. Bellows is pressed to hardening tank bottom in its most lower position. Oscillations of bellows excite intensive waves and turbulent pulsing flows of quenching medium in hardening tank and in combination with air intensity heat exchange to improve hardening quality and exclusion of a special source of compressed air simplifies the design.
