DEVICE FOR DETERMINING PRESENCE OF HYDROGEN IN METALS Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

Abstract RU 2027165 C1

FIELD: material analysis. SUBSTANCE: device has working chamber with optical window, evaporation laser mounted in opposite to window of the chamber, roughing-down pump, vacuum rectifier and system for determining amount of hydrogen extracted from metal specimen under test. Working chamber is provided additionally with two optical windows. System for determining amount of hydrogen is made in form of biharmonic pumping laser source and system for determining intensity of antistokes component of light dissipation. Biharmonic pumping laser source is made in form of a dish filled with compressed hydrogen, pulse laser, in particular, monochromatic one, selecting filter, collimating lens and focusing lens with focus length being larger than preset value. System for determining intensity of antistokes component of light dissipation is made in form of monochromator, photoelectric converter and indication unit which is connected electrically with photoelectric converter and with biharmonic pump laser source. Working chamber is made in form of three cavities connected together. One additional window of working chamber is made in form of focusing lens, the other window is made in form of collimating lens. EFFECT: improved precision. 7 cl, 4 dwg
