FIELD: wood-working industry, in particular, log debarking process. SUBSTANCE: method involves treating logs with enzymes, which facilitate reduction of adhesion between bark and wood. Device has conveyor for feeding log to debarking machine and pipeline system with spray jets for spraying enzyme solution onto logs. Drainage system provides separation of enzyme solution from logs and supplying it back to pipeline system and feeder for feeding enzyme solution into circulation system.
