SUBSTANCE: processing of logs 12 is carried out with the help of unit 1 incorporating transfer level gage 2 with holes 20 passing there through. Assemblies 28 of support elements are spaced apart and arranged below said level gage. Each assembly comprises elongated support element 8 arranged parallel to level gage and perpendicular to log motion P to rotate there about and extend therefrom. Rotational axis 6 of each assembly is set so that support elements protrude through holes above level gage to allow logs to be raised in one or several receiving spaces formed between support elements.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of log processing.
