FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: uranium tetrafluoride is subjected for pyrohydrolysis with vapor-steam mixture, and uranium tetrafluoride is dispersed. Vapor-steam mixture is prepared by combustion of hydrocarbons or hydrogen in oxygen at the initial temperature 450-550 C. Vapor-steam mixture and uranium tetrafluoride were fed by countercurrent. Method is used for uranium tetrafluoride conversion and preparing of uranium oxide and hydrogen fluoride. EFFECT: improved method of uranium tetrafluoride conversion. 2 cl, 1 dwg
