FIELD: technical diagnosis. SUBSTANCE: method involves the steps of: glueing an elastic washer thickness of which exceeds height of expected maximum protrusion of surface with a coordinate grid applied onto it to flexible resilient metallic plate, applying a calibrated volume of homogeneous amorphous mass with dye onto the washer, pressing the mass to the surface being inspected by uniform pressing of the plate to stop against the tested surface at full compression of the washer, separating the plate, measuring area of the mass on the washer and deriving an integral estimation of irregularities of the tested surface from the ratio of calibrated volume of mass to the area of print.
