FIELD: geophysics. SUBSTANCE: components of the field measured are compensated synchronously at frequency spectrum with weight coefficients at range of units to hundreds of seconds. Weight coefficients are determined from measurements at time intervals which do not match with time intervals of compensation naturally. Ranges of minimums are determined in spectrum of residuals of compensation when using presentations of resonant structure of magnetotelluric field at surface of Earth at resonant frequencies of magnetic force lines of geomagnetic field. The minimums are used for which influence of spatial nonuniformity of magnetotelluric field is reduced for results of impedance evaluation. Impedance is evaluated for selected ranges. EFFECT: attenuation of influence of spatial nonuniformity of magnetotelluric field onto results of impedance measurements. 2 cl, 2 dwg
