FIELD: plasma accelerators. SUBSTANCE: plasma cathode-compensator includes body 1, hollow holder 2 where thermal emitter 3 with through channel 4 is fitted tightly, gas feed 5 anchored in pedestal insulator 6. Insulating bushing 7 with outlet uniaxial to channel 4 is fixed air-tight on output butt of body 1. Holder 2 is embraced with spiral heater 8. Anticorrosive coat 9 is deposited on outer surface of hollow holder 2 on side of outlet and on spiral of heater 8. Diameter of hole of bushing is equal to 1.5 diameter of channel 4. Bushing 7 is installed at distance equal to 3-5 diameters of channel 4 from butt of holder 2. Specified make of cathode-compensator prevents interaction of holder and heater at high temperatures with active working medium getting inside inner space of cathode-compensator.
