FIELD: veterinary. SUBSTANCE: samples of milk are taken on 29th to 31st days of lactation for the purpose of diagnostics of cattle. Dose of traction acetone + acetoacetate in total sum of ketone bodies and proportion between fractions acetone + acetoacetate and beta-oxybutirate are determined. Ketose is diagnosed if share of fraction acetone + acetoacetate in total sum of ketone bodies exceeds 30% and if proportion between fractions acetone + acetoacetate and beta-oxybutirate is above 0.34. EFFECT: improved authenticity of early diagnosis of ketose.
