FIELD: foundry practice. SUBSTANCE: method involves delivery of metal into mold from intermediate ladle, cooling and drawing of blank. Temperature of metal delivered into mold is 5-30 C higher than the liquid. The drawing rate is derived from the relation v = a - 0.01 . Δt where v - blank drawing rate, m/min; Δt - steel heating temperature above liquid, C; a - experimental constant (a = 0.75 - 0.90), m/min; 0.01 - proportionality coefficient, m/min C. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
