FIELD: marine engineering. SUBSTANCE: housing and rod of the locking device are axially alined. The housing and rod has ring grooves. Radial openings made in the housing receive balls which are enclosed by a race. One end of the race is rigidly secured to the housing, and the other end is coupled with a mechanism for pressing the race. The mechanism for pressing the race is constructed as a spring-loaded double-arm lever. A locator is pivotally connected to one of the ends of the lever. The middle part of the lever is secured to the cantilever of the housing. A block is rigidly secured to the free end of the race. The block has openings for the locator shank.
