FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: high-voltage voltage transformer has porcelain body installed on base which carries active part enclosed in body and put on pressing supports. Active part is composed of laminated rectangular magnetic core with yoke, with upper and lower horizontal legs on which windings are located. On top of body there put metal cover in which line lead-in is arranged. Transformer is supplemented with special shields (central, upper, lower and capacitive). Capacitive shield is placed above active part with the aid of suspension elements attached to cover and is electrically connected to line lead-in. Axis of shield matches vertical axis of magnetic core. Central, upper and lower shields are mounted on magnetic core. Central side shields are manufactured in the form of bent clamp, attached to studs of yoke and embrace each yoke separately on two sides. On protruding upper butt of central shields there are put upper shields, each having quasi-spherical shape and covering angles of upper leg with itself. Each shield incorporates several elements arranged butt to butt. One of elements can be removed from central shield. Lower shields have hemispherical shape, they are installed between supports, cover angles of lower leg and are fixed to supports with the help of insulation material.
