FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: transformer has cylindrical metal case mounted on cylindrical insulating support and filled with insulating medium. Case accommodates primary winding in the form of straight conductor and secondary winding wound on toroidal cores. Windings are surrounded by toroidal screen secured on top end of supporting metal tube passing secondary taps. Bottom end of tube is fastened on metal-case base perpendicular to center line of secondary windings. Primary winding is arranged along center line of secondary windings and its ends are fastened to side walls of metal case. Transformer also has cylindrical insulating column made of high- strength material and hermetically sealed within insulating support in coaxial manner relative to supporting metal tube. Cylindrical insulating column accommodates truncated-cone mount. Ends of its lower base are attached to metal case base and at the same time to base of cylindrical insulating column.
