FIELD: sugar industry. SUBSTANCE: sugar syrup is subjected for refining by syrup treatment with ozone-air mixture at consumption 2-30 vol./h syrup at the parent ozone concentration 10-14 mg/l following by moderate decrease up to 4-5 mg/l to the end of process, at 50-75 C for 15-30 min. Use of ozone for refining ensures to enhance sugar syrup quality, increase sugar yield and exclude high cost coal from the process. EFFECT: improved method of sugar refining.
