FIELD: hydroacoustic measurements. SUBSTANCE: not less than three receivers of acoustic pressure are installed at unspecified distances from one or several sources of sound in investigated fluid path (pipe-line). Distance between receivers are chosen from condition of provision for difference in measured values of amplitudes or phases of each receiver being larger than measurement error. Then amplitudes and phases of acoustic pressure at each receiver are measured and parameters of attenuation of sound wave (attenuation factor α and phase constant b) are determined from proposed relationship. EFFECT: expanded operational capabilities in presence of several sources of sound of forward and backward waves. 1 dwg
