MASS TRANSFER TRAY Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2079327 C1

FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: mass transfer tray relates to contact devices intended for interaction of gases (vapors) and liquids in processes of absorption, rectification and washing of gases. Tray has perforated plate, device for receiving liquid from higher located tray and discharge device to deliver liquid to lower located tray. Receiving device is made in the form of perforated part of plate, and discharge device is in the form of arched slots directed with their convexities down and their axes are directed oppositely to receiving device. Receiving device of lower located tray is positioned symmetrically under discharge device of upper located tray. Plates of trays can be installed in column horizontally or at sharp incline angle relative to horizon towards location of discharge device. Each tray is covered with layer of checkerwork filled at random, and depth of layer is not less than 2.5 linear sizes of checkerwork components. EFFECT: high efficiency. 6 dwg
