FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: semidrying vegetable oil is added to refining SOCl2 at 20-77 C (10-100% of impurities mass). Method ensures to refine product from impurities of sulfur chlorides, sulfuryl chloride, sulfur dioxide and phosphorus oxychloride. Refined SOCl2 has less 0.1% SO2Cl2, less 0.06% SCl2, less 0.08% POCl3, less 0.75% SO2. Invention ensures to produce the end product with yield 92-98% and refining degree 98.0-99.7% EFFECT: enhanced refinement degree. 1 tbl
