FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: this process prescribes eight times extracting dried and ground roots of northern aconite using 75 to 80-percent solution of ethyl alcohol to be taken in ratio of 1:2.2 to 2.6, evaporating stock to 10 percent of original volume, precipitating alkaloids to pH value of about 9 to 10, dissolving alkaloids in 10-percent solution of sulfuric acid, washing stock in chloroform, purifying alkaloids by treating vaporized concentrate with ethyl alcohol, and finally recrystallizing alkaloid bromide from methanol.
