FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: rotor 1 is mounted for permitting free rotation about horizontal axis O at interface A-A between adjacent separate spaces which are filled with gas or liquid having different temperatures. The rotor is provided with connections 2 which allow the distance from axis O of the rotor to be changed with temperature. The connections connect rotor 1 with weights 3 having the same masses and arranged uniformly over periphery. Owing to temperature difference between the adjacent spaces and their heat expansion, the weights arranged on both sides of vertical plane B-B passing through the rotation axis is at various distances from axis O of the rotor resulting in creating of torque under the action of gravity forces affecting weights 3 and setting rotor in rotation.
