FIELD: heat exchanging engineering. SUBSTANCE: finned heat exchanging pipe 1 having insert 2 and oval cross-section is provided with plate fins 3 rigidly secured to the outer side. The distance between the center of pipe 1 and edge of the opening of fin 3 in the direction of the greater axis from one sides of pipe 1 exceeds the distance in the same direction from the center of pipe 1 to its outer side to define a segment space between the surface of pipe 1 and fin 3. The width of the space does not exceed the size of lesser axis of pipe 1. Wedge 10 is mounted inside the space. The wedge is answered to the space. Insert 2 received in the pipe is constructed as rod 11 and hollow members which are identically oriented and rigidly secured to the rod. Member 12 have greater base 13, lesser base 14, and open end faces and is mounted to define passages 15 between the side walls of members 12 and inner side of pipe 1. Longitudinal openings 16 are made in side walls of members 12. The openings connect spaces 17 of member 12 with passage 15. The side walls of members 12 are also provided with projections 18 arranged in the zone of end faces of greater base 13 over periphery of member 12 and contacting with the inner side of pipe 1.
