FIELD: microbiological industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing biomass on the base of yeast. The process is carried out on culture medium which contains wheat or waste of treatment of cereals. Said waste is preliminary treated with the help of proteolytic or amylolytic ferments within 1-1.5 h at 50-70 C and pH 7.0-7.4. Cultivating yeast takes place at excess of ferrum and phosphorous ions. Thus prepared biomass has high protein content, it contains also irreplaceable amino acids and vitamins. EFFECT: improves efficiency of the method. 2 tbl
